On July 17, 1955, Disneyland opened for a few thousand invited visitors. Disneyland cost $17 million to build in Anaheim California. Disneyland was Walt Disney's dream to have an amusement park for both children and adults. Besides he had been bothered by World War II during the park construction. Even though World War II interrupted their construction, Disney continued to dream a theme park as Disneyland. Post World War II brought an air of nostalgia for happier time period before the World War II, so Walt Disney used this idea to construct Disneyland, successful largely due to the time period in which was constructed. Disneyland has separated into little five sections: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. Walt Disney puts thoughts into each section and it can be seen today.
